Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Melissa is a fifth generation Tucsonan, and attended Canyon del Oro High School and Pima Community College. Melissa appreciates the environment of warmth at Tucson Waldorf School and the freedom for her children to thrive and develop at their natural pace. She greatly values the tremendous sense of community present at TWS. Melissa first came to the school to participate in the Quail’s Nest parent-child class when her oldest was a toddler. Three years later, she was hired to be part of the administrative team. Her professional life includes many years working in her family’s jewelry store as well as other retail experience and work in property management. Before working for TWS, Melissa enjoyed seven years as a stay-at -home mom to her three children, all current students at the school. She is new to the Development position and is very excited to learn more and grow withing her role at the school.
Melissa loves to attempt the New York Times crossword every Sunday. She also enjoys yoga, cooking, board games, and spending time with her children.
