Cynthia “Cyd” Lannigan

Miss Cyd is originally from New Jersey and moved to Arizona as a teenager. She has worked with children for over a decade filling various roles as a caregiver, including home care for children with developmental disabilities and as a private nanny. The birth of her daughter, now a TWS student, prompted her to search for an educational approach that resonated with her both as a parent and a caregiver. Through a family Miss Cyd worked for, she discovered the Tucson Waldorf School. Miss Cyd’s involvement with TWS began when she and her daughter attended the Quail’s Nest parent-child classes. Soon after joining Quail’s Nest, Miss Cyd was hired as an assistant in the early childhood extended day program and later as a nursery assistant teacher in the Sunflower Garden class.

Miss Cyd is enrolled in the Waldorf Foundation Studies Course, a pre-requisite for all Waldorf teacher training, and plans to pursue a Spacial Dynamics Certification to become a Waldorf movement education teacher. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, hiking, picnics, and being outside.
