Lisa Barnes - Handwork

Lisa Barnes

Ms. Barnes joined one of the first playgroups (with her now grown daughter) in 1993 and has been part of Tucson Waldorf School since. Ms. Barnes holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and is a certified school teacher who taught at T.U.S.D. for five years. When her children were young, she managed an early childhood home program using the principles of Waldorf education. She has worn many hats at Tucson Waldorf School: Kindergarten Assistant, Enrollment Coordinator, and, for the last decade, Specialty Teacher in Handwork. She completed her Waldorf teacher training in Prescott, AZ in 2007. Waldorf education and her study of Anthroposophy have been a ‘homecoming’ for Ms. Barnes. She feels very blessed to have been part of Tucson Waldorf School’s beginning and to now be part of its continual growth.
