The Event | Saturday, May 3, 2014 – 5:00 to 10:00 pm
Fresh! is an adult evening with culinary delights from River Road Gardens, biodynamic wine tasting from Coturri Wines, silent auction, and live entertainment on the River Bend campus and within a few steps from River Road Gardens in the historic Binghampton district. This event directly raises funds for TWS’s operating fund in order to pay our teachers a living wage and fund vital school programs. Fresh! opens promptly at 5:00 pm with an early bird raffle for guests arriving before 5:30 pm.
The online auction will begin on April 21, 2014 and end on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Click here to browse the items and bid.
The silent auction begins on May 3 at 5:30 pm and ends at 7:30 pm. Items at the silent auction often include beautiful art, jewelry, one-of-a-kind experiences, and unique treasures from our community, including the amazing class projects. This is a great time to enjoy the company , taste the wine, and bid on items.
Donations of Items & Services
To make Fresh! a successful fundraising affair, we rely on parents and our extended community to make donations of services and items to the auction. Many grandparents and alumni families attend and it is a great way to demonstrate your generosity (and promote your business!). We will display a full color image and description of the donated item, as well as a link to your website if provided on our online auction at biddingforgood.com/TucsonWaldorf.
We warmly welcome the unique opportunities you can offer. Such donations could include a stay in your vacation home, a chocolate and wine tasting, sporting / concert tickets, private music or dance lessons, or special outings to places you love. If you are interested in donating a unique item, the Development Office is more than happy to brainstorm ideas with you.
To make a donation, please go to biddingforgood.com/TucsonWaldorf. Donations should be received no later than April 11, 2014 to be included in the auction. TWS is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization and your donation is fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We also ask merchants in the Tucson community to make donations, so if you have a relationship with a shop, restaurant, or service provider, we will help you ask for a donation to the auction. Contact Sereti Venzin, our Development Director, at 520.529.1032 or firstname.lastname@example.org for questions and donation leads.
Underwriting the Event
At Tucson Waldorf School we aim to make Fresh! accessible for everyone. This means that in addition to our base ticket price of $75, we have a Volunteer Angel ticket, allowing you to pay $35 (minimally to help cover costs). Volunteer Angels do one or more of the following: Volunteer 10+ hours before, during, or after the event or help secure 6+ auction items. Volunteer Angel tickets are limited and available until April 14, 2014. If you can pay more than $75, we hope that you generously do so. If you’d like the Volunteer Angel ticket, please contact Sereti at 520.529.1032. There is a limit of 150 tickets. This event will sell out and it’s highly recommended you get yours early. Buy your tickets here.
Individual and Corporate Sponsorships
To support our fundraising success, Fresh! offers various sponsorship opportunities. Sponsoring this event allows you to achieve broad visibility among a community of creative individuals, businesses, and organizations. Sponsorship benefits include promotion at the event and online via email blasts and weekly communications, social media, website, and on our online auction platform, biddingforgood.com. View sponsorship opportunities ranging from $2,5o0 to $100.
Please contact Sereti Venzin, Development Director, at 520.529.1032 or email@example.com, if you would like to discuss how we can help your meet your marketing needs with a sponsorship.
Class projects are an integral part of the auction. A few months before the auction, classes decide on a project. These projects usually involve both parent and student creativity and a lot of much-appreciated hard work. These projects are the cornerstone of the Live Auction and generate a large portion of revenue that night to benefit our school.
If you are a parent, class project coordinators will organize your class project. Please contact your room parent to get involved. Class projects are a great way to become engaged and help in your class community.
Volunteer Jobs – Sign Up Here
This type of fundraising event is truly an “all hands on deck” community effort. In addition to the countless hours spent by the Fresh! volunteer team led by Development Director, Sereti Venzin, and Committee Chair Linda Biederman, we need help with a number of jobs before, during, and after the Fresh!. These include:
- Class Project support in each class
- Auction item procurement – contacting dozens of local businesses
- Check-In/Check-Out Support
- Set-Up and Clean-up
- Auction management (set up, during event, and post event)
- Volunteer management before, during, and after
As mentioned, procuring donations or donating your own goods or services is critical to the success of Fresh! in raising funds for Tucson Waldorf School. Click here to donate to the auction.
Thank you to our generous sponsors:
