Jackie Phillips was born and raised in Dallas, Texas before her parents moved her to an international school in Bangkok, Thailand. She graduated from The University of Arizona with an undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies and Anthropology and received her master’s degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. After working in corporate administration and finance for construction companies and healthcare, she pivoted to wealth management.
As the daughter of an early childhood education specialist and partner to a scientific researcher, her family finally found and fell in love with Waldorf education. The gentle rhythms of life – emphasis on community, interpersonal connections, and most importantly, that childhood should be protected – are what attracted her family to Tucson Waldorf School. Starting with The Quail’s Nest class in 2023, Jackie is still learning about the Steiner philosophy and Waldorf traditions.
Jackie has extensive experience in financial services, sales, and marketing which she has used for previous volunteer opportunities with TEDxTucson, Tucson Parks Foundation, and as a Thunderbird alumni mentor. Outside of work she enjoys seeking out new local culinary experiences and international adventures.
