Parenting the Young Adolescent in Challenging Times

A talk with Betty Staley, Director of Waldorf High School Teacher Education Program at Rudolf Steiner College 6:30 to 8:30pm, Grade 5 classroom. The years between eleven and fourteen are challenging times.  They can be compared to walking a tightrope over a chasm. Parents often feel they are also the ones on the tightrope, and the winds blowing in from our society are turbulent and unpredictable. How do the middle school years set the stage for the high school years? Betty Staley will discuss ways in which parents and teachers can meet their youngsters to help them navigate this period in a healthy and constructive way.
