Mr. Conner grew up in Los Angeles, California, and has lived in San Francisco and San Diego, eventually moving to Tucson in 2007. He studied civil engineering at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and received a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona. Mr. Conner is currently a student at Antioch University, working towards his Waldorf Teacher Certification. He appreciates the way Waldorf Education teaches to the whole child, focusing on psychological and physical development without the stress and high pressure typically used to develop academics. The close student-teacher relationship and the effectiveness of teaching the children to rely on thinking for themselves, rather than just memorizing, are two aspects of Waldorf education he values. Mr. Conner’s professional experience has included time working for a Litigation Support Company in sales and as the operations manager. He has also been a stay at home parent for a few years. Mr. Conner and his wife, Laura, have two daughters, Leah and Emily.
