Ms. Sabb’s journey with Waldorf education began in childhood, when she attended Ms. Jennifer O’Brien’s playgroup during the early days of the Enchanted Desert Playgarden, followed by First and Second Grade with Lisa Archer. Her Waldorf path continued at Michael Hall School in England for Grades 3-5 and the Austin Waldorf School for Grades 6-12. Looking back, Ms. Sabb describes her education as “food for the soul,” filled with warmth, beauty, and the joy of learning.
Bringing a wealth of experience from both public and Waldorf education, Ms. Sabb spent six years teaching in public and charter schools, where she developed skills in building trust with students, managing large class sizes, and working with diverse learning needs. Her dedication to meeting each child where they are deepened through Waldorf teacher training and three years of teaching Grades 4-6 at the Rudolf Steiner School.
Under the mentorship of experienced colleagues, Ms. Sabb has cultivated a teaching practice rooted in Anthroposophy, always striving to meet the needs of the growing human being.
At the heart of Ms. Sabb’s approach to teaching is the value of relationships. She has created a warm, socially safe classroom environment where students feel confident to take academic risks and engage in meaningful learning. As her students have entered the middle school years, Ms. Sabb has set high academic expectations, which the students have met with enthusiasm.
Her commitment extends beyond the classroom, fostering strong, open partnerships with parents and holding each child with deep reverence.
