Karine Falleni

Karine was born in France and moved to New York as a child. She has a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, NYC and an MFA from Stony Brook University. She and her family have returned to Tucson this past year after living in Europe since 2020.

Karine is a practicing artist whose teaching path began many years ago in undergrad working with inner city children (ages 4-5). She has since worked with children of all ages in diverse educational environments. Art, movement, and children have been her calling for as long as she can remember, pursuing dance and caring for children in various settings. She is also a certified yoga instructor since 2006 and continues to weave these passions, teaching a weekly yoga class and keeping to an active art practice.

Karine’s first introduction to Waldorf was 16 years ago, attending Quail’s Nest with her son. This was a cherished time which she and her family hold very dearly in their hearts. Her son is now a senior attending Desert Sage, the Waldorf Inspired Charter School. Karine is thrilled and grateful to be a part of the Tucson Waldorf Community. She loves spending time with her family, being out in nature, yoga, gardening, creating in the studio, and playing with her little dog Pepper!
