- Bachelor’s Degree from New Mexico State University
- Masters in Cello Performance from Missouri State University Performance
Kendra has taught privately for over 10 years. During that time, Kendra’s private students have received a multitude of awards, in addition to being accepted into All-State and All-Region orchestras and earning honors at Solo and Ensemble competitions. Their other teaching experience includes summer orchestra music camps and beginner orchestra classes.
Her ultimate goal as a music teacher is to create a love and deep appreciation of music in her students, as she believes that music has the power to bring people together and create a sense of community. She strives to build confidence and self-love within her students by providing them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can express themselves freely. In addition to developing their musical abilities, she equips her students with the necessary skills to continue their musical journey as they progress through life.
Kendra is new to the Southern Arizona area after spending the majority of their life in New Mexico. She enjoys performing with local musicians in a variety of settings including symphonies, string quartets, and as a soloist with choirs. When not playing cello Kendra enjoys spending their free time hanging out with their dog Max, their cat Maybell, and cooking food.
